How to turn turn off/on hibernation in Windows 7

If you do not use hibernation, turning it off will free up some space on your hard drive since the system will no longer need to maintain a hibernation file. Here is what to do do disable (and enable) hibernation:

1. Open elevated command prompt
2. Type in the following command to turn off hibernation: 

powercfg.exe /hibernate off

To turn it back on replace off with on
